3 Reasons Health Coaching Works
Making a healthy behavior change isn’t easy. Motivation and commitment are two big factors in how successful any worksite wellness effort or personal behavior change is. That’s where our health coaching component comes in – keeping employees engaged and active.
Our health coaches are experts trained to assist individuals with making behavior changes. Each participant is assigned a health coach and the coach communicates with him or her through email, online chats, and/or over the phone.
What are the three reasons health coaching is so successful?
- Planning goals – Someone helping you create a plan and wellness goals makes taking the leap easier.
- Staying committed – Regular check-ins with someone who is making sure you’re on track keeps you engaged in your plan and helps you through the inevitable obstacles that will occur.
- Getting motivated – When someone else is excited about your progress, it makes you twice as proud of your accomplishments. Being held accountable for our actions helps us stay motivated to meet our goals. A coach is there to help you make the changes you know are right.
